In a verdant valley at the base of Mount Hood, Bill Best grows Christmas trees. It’s an ideal life, one Bill loves because being close to nature gives him pause to think about God, but there is another side to Bill that keeps him on edge. Bill hosts a conservative podcast, which makes him a target of those with whom he disagrees.

When Senator Powers challenges Bill to expound upon how we’re living in the last days, the opposition responds by having him cancelled. Bill soon finds his podcast disrupted, his property set on fire, and himself arrested for crimes he didn’t commit.

Fleeing the controversy, Bill’s son, Josh, has left home to attend Portland State University where he’s begun promoting the agenda Bill stands against. Ashamed of his father, he’s denied his family and changed his name. But when Josh’s true identity is exposed, he’s left to choose between betraying his father, or turning his back on the girl he loves, a choice no son should have to make.
