At one time, God, family, and country, were important to America, but not today. Stan wants to get America back on track, but a young woman he’s never met stands in his way.
Rachel has risen from the streets to become valedictorian of her senior class. She’s been recruited by Northwestern where she’s been given a full scholarship. She’ll be majoring in Political Science while working for Senator Weise, a democratic socialist out to change the world.
But Rachel is conflicted. She isn’t sure socialism can work. That won’t stop her from helping Senator Weise get elected. She doesn’t have a choice. The Senator’s opponent is Stan Powers, a man who deserves to be in jail, not in office. He’s the man who got away with killing her mother.
I could hardly put them down! It is so great to pick up a book these days that is based on Biblical truths and morals. May God bless you for taking a Christian stand!
I just finished “One Pair of Shoes,” and “On Solid Ground,” and have thoroughly enjoyed them. I have found it difficult to put your books down. I just wanted to provide this feedback to let you know how much I appreciate your writing.
The story is great, very inspiring!
Book one of two. I thoroughly enjoyed this story written from a Christian worldview. The author certainly seemed to have done his research on various topics and places. At times, I couldn’t put the book down. Now to read Book Two: On Solid Ground.
5 out of 5 stars—Very well written, I highly recommend this book. It was suspenseful throughout and I couldn’t put it down! I realized God is in control of every situation and circumstance and guides us to make the right decisions for our lives.
I have just completed reading One Pair of Shoes. Cannot wait to read On Solid Ground.
